DAY 1: Hanoi – Hoa Lu – Tam Coc / Trang An – Mua Cave
7h00 - 7h50: Pick-up from your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarterfor the transfer to Ninh Binh.
9h15: Visit of Quang Phu Cau village, a quintessential Vietnamese villagerenowned for its craft of incense-making. Upon arrival, visitors are immediately struck by the sight of incense bundles strewn along pathways, temple courtyards, and vacant plots of land. Notably, these bundles boast a variety of vibrant colors, predominantly red, lending the landscape an enchanting, colorful allure.
09:45: Depart for Hoa Lu Ancient Capital
11h30: Visit of Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam from the years 968 to 1010. Then you will visit the Temple of Dinh King and Le King and learn more about Vietnamese history under the Dinh, Le, and Ly Dynasties.
12:15: It’s time for you to join our 30-minutes optional cycling activity to discover the life of the local people, or you can stay and relax at the restaurant and enjoy some sightseeings to capture some beautiful moments at the lake, the waterfall and the valleys. During summer, you may also swim in the resort’s pool.
12:45: Enjoy a buffet lunch featuring local food specialties in a scenic setting; a vegetarian option is available upon request.
13:30: Choose one of the following options:
Option 1: Tam Coc– Known as the " Halong Bay on Land", enjoy a 1.5-hour rowboat trip along the Ngo Dong River. Pass through golden rice fields (seasonal), limestone karsts, and three famous caves: Hang Ca, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba – a unique and memorable experience.
Option 2: Trang An– A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2014, offering a 1.5-hour rowboat trip through a network of mystical caves and stunning limestone formations. This site was featured in the 2016 Hollywood movie "Kong: Skull Island".
15:45: Visit Mua Cave (Hang Mua). Climb the 500 stone steps to the summit of Ngoa Long Mountain for panoramic views over the Tam Coc area.
17:00: Return to your hotel for check-in and relaxation.
19:00: Dinner at the resort. Overnight in Ninh Binh.
DAY 2: Ninh Binh – Cat Ba Island – Butterfly Valley
07:00: Breakfast at the hotel and check-out.
08:00: Depart for Cat Ba Island.
12:00: Check-in at Cat Ba Papillon Bungalows & Resort and enjoy a traditional Vietnamese lunch. Free time to relax in the lush garden setting, swimming at the pool and/or enjoying drinks at the bar.
14:30: Transfer to Cat Ba Butterfly Valley (Lien Minh Valley). During butterfly season, admire thousands of butterflies in their natural habitat. Optional hike available for those wanting to view Cat Ba National Park from above.
16:00: Continue the trip with a visit to Thien Ung Pagoda and climb to the peak for stunning panoramic views over Cat Ba Island.
16:45: Return to Cat Ba Papillon Bungalows & Resort for swimming and relaxation.
18:00: Dinner at Madame Lan Restaurant. Overnight at Cat Ba Papillon Bungalows & Resort .
DAY 3: Lan Ha Bay Exploration – Return to Hanoi
08:00: Transfer from Cat Ba Papillon Bungalows & Resort to Cai Beo Pier.
08:30–12:30: Begin a boat trip through Lan Ha Bay – Discover:
* Cai Beo Floating Village
* Scenic limestone islands: Candle, Frog and Seal Islands
* Ba Trai Dao Beach – time for swimming and snorkeling
* Kayaking adventure in the tranquil northeast section of Lan Ha Bay.
12:30: Enjoy a traditional Vietnamese lunch on board.
14:00: The cruise continues through the outer area of Halong Bay (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Pass by Monkey Island and admire its white sand beaches and turquoise waters.
15:00: Return to Cat Ba for a short rest.
16:30: Depart for Hanoi by limousine/bus.
